Never Time
I’ve been having a hard time making the time to update this page lately. Which is funny - I thought that once Alex was done with football I would have all sorts of free time.
Bad assumption.
This last month has included spending time helping a friend of the family get elected to Village Council; putting all sorts of holes in the wall to setup surround sound in the basement; spending 2 quality hours with the cable guy to figure out *why* my cable didn’t work; and the normal day-to-day work and home chores.
And yard work. I hate yard work.
But things seem to be settling back out. I’ve actually been able to break away from work for an hour or two each day this week to ride my bike, work out, and walk the dog. It’s pretty amazing how that little bit can help improve your outlook on life.
Alex has a few big events coming up this month - this Friday he is “Student of the Week” so Beth and I get to go in and see him give a presentation on himself to the class. Then later this month we have his football banquet to attend - I’m not sure on this, but I did get the impression that the coaching staff would have a few things to say about “Axel” at this event.
